Ediongsenyene is from Ukanafun local government area of Akwa Ibom state and is a graduate of Fisheries and Aquaculture from the University of Uyo.

According to him, he became aware of the potentials in Agriculture during his Nysc days in Ogun state where he saw how much young men were earning from Agriculture despite not studying anything related to agriculture in school. It dawned on him that he can make money from fish farming. He decided never to abandon what he had spent time and resources to study in school- Fisheries.

Every year, the government of Nigeria spends billions of naira to import fish to supplement local production, so if you venture into fish production you will have a ready market for your fish products especially if you add value to it like Ediongsenyene who makes ready to eat fish by oven drying them in the most hygienic way possible. You can also make money from fish farming as a hatchery operator, a grow-out farmer or even as a fish processor.

Ediongsenyene started his fish production business with the sum of N30,000. The small sum was just enough to buy a fairly used small tarpaulin tank. With financial support from friends, he was able to stock the tank to get his first production batch.

For Ediongsenyene his high points as a fish farmer are when he increases his production capacity at the beginning of every new production cycle. He said he felt very elated when he started the oven-dried fish brand and got great feedback from clients.

Ediongsenyene sees himself running a mega model farm in a few years if he has access to funding and more fishing inputs like tanks and a bigger drying kiln. EIN Farms is a sole proprietorship business for now and it is registered with the Corporate affairs commission of Nigeria. In the farm located in Uyo, Ediongsenyene works with an assistant who assists in feeding and drying the fishes.

It is the passion that keeps Ediongsenyene going as he produces fishes for consumption in Akwa Ibom State.
