Covenant Harry is an undergraduate student of Mechanical engineering, Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun, Delta State and runs Comark house solutions, a house painting business startup. He says he is one who strives to succeed through life and school. A self-sponsored student from Jss 3 up to HND 1, he describes himself as a speaker, a leader by passion, an ardent reader, a God chaser and an amazing teacher.

Covenant ventured into his business in November 2020.

The painting business is technically feasible and economically profitable. It is not just a tool to make money but a means of job creation.

Covenant says passion was his first starting capital then followed by the sum of N10,000 to purchase basic painting tools.

Painting of a bungalow in PTI Staff Quarters, Effurun Delta State in just four months of existence as a businessman is the high point for Covenant. His low point came at a time he couldn’t meet a deadline due to few labourers on ground.

Covenant has never thought of giving up, in his words, “No, why should i? In just four months? What would i say of men like Tony Elumelu, Aliko Dangote, to mention a few, who stood by their visions despite all odds?”

Covenant is deeply involved in the painting work and also engages people to work for him. The registration of Comark House solutions is currently in progress with the Corporate Affairs Commission.

Victor Olande and Emeka Nobis are presented as business mentors by Covenant.

To fellow and upcoming entrepreneurs, Covenant advises, “Be resilient, passion-driven and purposeful”.

Covenant believes that entrepreneurs can create positive impacts, and improve the standard of living of society because entrepreneurship is a major driver of economic development and the backbone of a thriving economy.
