Cakes are yummy! Eating sweet cake gives our tongue a pleasant moment but eating sugar-free cake preserves our life.

Kindness Ekerette Udeme is a student of Estate Management at the University of Uyo. She is from Ibiono Ibom local government area in Akwa Ibom state. Kindness is a female entrepreneur and the CEO of KINDNESS SPAR. She produces and sells varieties of cakes and confectionaries like peanut, chin chin and meat pie since 2018. Kindness is a creative baker a prime Brand in Akwa Ibom state producing sugar-free cake and low-carb peanut burger and encourages diabetic patients globally with her sugar-free cakes.


Having the interest of diabetic patients in mind and the desire to make them enjoy cake like other people made Kindness venture into her business in April 2018.

The cake business is very lucrative because of the high consumption rate of cakes. Kindness started her business with N50,000 naira, initially to get a baking space and handmade appliance.
Kindness has been nominated in several pitching competitions so far, she has successfully trained 15 students.
Nonetheless, her low point is the competitive nature of the business, and the inability to get modern appliances for upgrade and packaging.

Kindness has thought of giving up so many times, but determination and zeal has kept her in the business.

Kindness does the production and engages workers to assist with the packaging and marketing.
Mentorship helps entrepreneurs to grow more in their businesses, so Kindness presents her boss and confidante, the CEO of Sammy lanky Kitchen as her mentor in business.

Since kindness produces sugar-free cakes and other baked products to accommodate those with underlying illness, she looks forward to collaborations and partnerships with policymakers and investors to scale her business.

The thought of giving up in business should never cross an entrepreneur’s mind, hence, kindness advises entrepreneurs to thrive and become the best in their business, and never to give up in the face of challenges.
Entrepreneurs are the backbone of a state, they create employment opportunities and also train other upcoming entrepreneurs.
